There are many things that happen in an SHTF scenario. From dealing with looters to addressing issues of scarcity, a large disaster has a lot of stuff going on.
So much so that there are many things that we are missing. One of the biggest things we miss is trash and waste management. That’s a big deal! What on earth is going to happen when people are not able to deal with their own trash and human waste?
Well, trash is going to pile up and pile up fast. That is about the best recipe for a massive wave of pests. Add to that a collection of human waste piling up.
Combat One – Tactical Skin Care (Large) – Combat One is the military grade all-purpose skin cleanser, conditioner and protector.
Disease Comes Next
With pests come disease. There is no battling that. In LA County we are facing an outbreak of typhus brought on by the exploding populations of homeless. Homeless are not great at managing their trash or their waste! You see the connection.
It’s the same on our end. We are homeless in many ways. It’s just a matter of our opportunities, work ethic, and social situation.
The disease will cause way more deaths than guns and marauders. So be sure you have plenty of medical supplies as well.
How to Deal with Waste
You need a plan to burn trash and waste or to compost your human waste. It’s very important for you to have this plan now. Not only do you want the plan you also need the trigger to deal with the waste.
Be sure you don’t wait too long to start dealing with waste. If you have overflowing toilets, you are in big trouble. Human waste might as well be a radioactive waste! It’s filled with all sorts of disease-causing bacteria.
Don’t forget about your waste management plan post SHTF.
